Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the advantages of a Fisheyes Night Fishing Light?
The Fisheyes Night Fishing Light mounts with suction cups to any smooth surface, such as a gunwale of a boat, tackle box or smooth plate. Fisheyes Night Fishing Light provides white light to find your “fishing hole” and spot your boat at an optimum casting distance. At the touch of the fisheye, you switch to UV and use the Ultra Violet lights to light up your fishing line to easily see strikes as they occur. Since the Fisheyes Night Fishing Light is so small it is not in the way of fishing and can readily be stored in a tackle box. The Fisheyes Night Fishing Light is also lightweight.

2. How do I mount a Fisheyes Night Fishing Light?
To mount, loosen thumb screws, rotate the mounting bracket to a desired position, dampen suction cups and push the suction cups on the unit onto a smooth surface. The suction cups may be removed and the bracket mounted directly by inserting screws through the suction cup holes and into the gunwale, plate or tackle box.

3. Where should the Fisheyes Night Fishing Light be mounted?
Each fishing location will need one unit close by to be individually controlled. Mount the unit on the gunwale, tackle box or smooth plate within easy reach. It may also be beneficial to mount a unit on both sides of each fishing location.

4. How do I use a Fisheyes Night Fishing Light?
After mounting, adjust the Fisheyes Night Fishing Light to be parallel with the water and tighten the thumb screws. There is no need to over tighten as the thumb screws provide good holding power. Extend the cord to a live 12 volts DC power socket on your boat and plug the plug into the power socket. The red light on the side of the plug will indicate power to the unit. Push the “fisheye” button on the top of the unit to switch from UV to white or white to UV.

5. Is the Fisheyes Night Fishing Light patented?
The Fisheyes Night Fishing Light is covered under U. S. Patents 6,474,851 B1, 7,291,852 B1, 7,425,718 B1 with additional patents pending.

6. How far can I see my fishing line in the UV light?
The line should be visible at least 20 feet and up to 50 feet away.
